New Year, New Blog, New Challenge

I love being an art teacher and I devote so much of myself to my students. One thing I struggle with is creating artwork outside of the classroom. I’m sure many of you understand this dilemma! I have found that having this blog has been a great motivation to share and work on new ideas. I decided to start a personal art blog and I am challenging myself to just create something new each month. I welcome all of you to follow me and even to take on an artistic challenge of your own! Click the picture below to go to my new blog, Chromo Life.

Happy new year bloggers!

  1. I hear ya! I find such little time to make art for myself, and when I do... I sometimes have no inspiration!

I'm fairly new to my district and this is my tenure year, which has been my biggest distraction towards focusing on my artist identity rather than my teacher identity.

I can't wait to see your artwork, though! I posted something recently on my blog (http://art-paper-scissors.blogspot.com) about a website: artwars.com... they post a new art challenge every month (I think?) and you can win money! Might be just the right starting off point if you're lacking ideas : ).

  2. Wow, Hannah! Thanks for the suggestion. I took a look at art-wars.com and I think it is a great place to get some ideas for drawing.

You can take a look at my new blog by clicking on the picture of pastels. I have to warn you that I'm starting simple with my drawings and will hopefully build up to more detailed pieces later on.
